Ever permanent and unyielding, watercolor forces us to commit to the marks we make. Clumsy marks can’t be painted over, mistakes can’t be erased. Rather than becoming tight to manage this restriction, this workshop focuses on building skills in repetition and confidence!
In this gathering, we will practice letting go of outcome and producing volumes of confident quick paintings from observation. Working from a still life of natural and found materials, we can explore the material of watercolor, and open our works up to the potential of abstraction.
Paper, paint, brushes, and pens will be provided. If you have any beloved personal materials you are encouraged to bring them! I am always curious what tools other people work with. Limited seating available.
$75 with take home materials
